760 All have nivomats? 700 1987

I am looking at buying a used '87 760 turbo with 105,753 miles on it. The guy wants like 6,000 dollars for it and I know I can talk him out of probably half of it. I really like the 700 series and would probably be turning this car into a volvo sleeper(I.E. Rice kiler) But I know that 760's came with nivomat rear suspension. The thing I am not sure of is if the 760's got them for their entire running life,'84-90ish. I know nivomats can be taken out competely but it's like a 500 dollar job or something. Any kind of feedback is welcome regarding the car and/or the suspension. Thanks in advance.
