How to change M46 trans oil? (my first time) 200 82

Hello all-

might be a somewhat stupid question to ask but... :

how does one change the oil/fluid on the M46 transmission? Im thinking about changing mine (the car has 205K and i have feeling it might have never been changed!).. I am considering getting Mobil 1 or Amsoil fluids- do i get "Engine oil" or ATF (i've seen posts of both here- i dont know which is better for this application).. I am guessing its an easy procedure...(?) Thanks all!
