(not for the faint of heart)

so i pull up to a light, i know my car is slow, and next to me is grandma, she looks like elenor roosevelt... her face is stiff and fixed on the road like a stereotypical old driver... civic is blue, 97, 98 maybe? more stock than it comes from the factory, even a panther paw bumper sticker (local/my old elementary schools honor roll sticker)

so the light turns and shes off... i was surprised, and it awakened a competition feeling i havent felt in months...

(i have always had it out for civics of all kinds)

so i thru it down into 1st (auto) and went for it, 4500 rpm shift to second, shes still speeding away from me, 5000 rpm shift to 3rd, my pedal is burried in carpet, and this lady is jetting away from me like im hauling a house behind me... ofcourse a car pulls out several hundred feet down the road so i return to low speed, confident that she would only continue to gain if i went on... so i get my gun, ready to shoot myself, i see a glimpse of hope... a geo metro with smoke pouring from the muffler, atleast volvos CAN go faster, i CAN fix this atrocity, and then i was enlightened, and god granted me a second chance...

the point of this story is to ask... WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?!

my car is stock, grandmas civic LX just anally violated me :(

performance intake? exhaust?

i think with all mods my engine might push 130 hp...

(civic 1.6L vtec comes with that from the dealer)

so am i best off saving for a v6 or 8?

how much power can a volvo turbo deliver?

i dont want SPEED, i have ONE goal, to be faster than a stock civic and it would be nice to outdo a v6 accord as well... than id be happy!
