Can I just add freeze-12, or do I need to do some work first? 700 91

I'm debating converting the a/c to r134, or to stick w/ the r12. My father has 2 cans of r12. My system is totally tapped. Some questions:

1. If I recharge w/ the r12, do I need to prep anything (oil, etc?)?

2. Will this freeze 12 stuff work mixed with the r12?

3. Do I need to do any adjustments to the system to add the freeze 12?

I have the 134a retrofit kit waiting, but now I'm debating whether to stay w/ r12...
