960 rebuild 900 95

Responses to a previous post suggest that rotten coil female connectors are not a general problem. Contributors seem to have pristine connectors. God bless them. Mine had thoroughly rotted insulation and brittle corroded barrels, but plastic covers still look new. I have ordered new connectors and I will go over that wiring harness following General Patton's suggestions. Following his saga, I checked battery cables, etc. I found alternator putting out at most 13.8 volts, 13 volts with A/C on. I did not even bother to turn everything on to see what voltage I got then. I also found a votalge drop between battery cable and connector at the positive post -just like the General. He already told me what to look for when I take out that wiring harness. I think I have a simple no money cost repair for the voltage drop between cable and battery connector. I would like to hear what Brickboarders have to say about alternator output. By the way, I get 14.6 to 14.8 volts both at alternator and battery on the 760T at idle, 14.2 volts at battery with A/C blower on high and lights on, 13.8 volts with everything electrical on (A/C blower on high, lights, fog lights front and rear, seat heaters, backlight defogger, etc.). Please, let me hear from you. Best regards.
