My 744 with 190K suddenly has a hard time starting. It cranks and after about 4-5 seconds of cranking will pop. At this point it is laden with fuel and after it burns the excess, runs flawlessly. Fuel filter, check valve, dist cap and rotor, spark plug wires and plugs recently changed. I noticed plugs were somewhat fouled. New plugs helped starting for about 4 starts and now symtoms the same. On occasion it will start "normally". This started soon after a timing belt change. Not sure if it is related. I'm thinking fuel pressure regulator but want input before I invest.
