Dinging when brakes are applied+starting 200 84

The lights and key alarm ding has started to sound when the brakes are applied. It did this and stopped after a day or 2 twice before, but now it is keeping on. Any ideas besides the obvious, hunt it down and unplug it?

Another thing is that it now generally takes two cranks to get it started. If the first one is long or short doesn't matter. It doesn't start, but starts immediately on the 2nd try.

Thanks for any ideas.
