Turbo wastegate adjustment 700 1991

Before I start out on my own experimenting, maybe someone can get me going in the right direction. Do you lengthen or shorten adjustment rod? How many turns in or out equates to approximately how much boost? I don't want to grenade the motor just looking for a little more kick.
