The Auto and OD trans used the same drive shaft. If you get one from a fuel injected 145 wagon you will get the larger/ deavy duty shaft and U-joints. Depending on what year and equipment your 144 has, you might have to change the flanges on the tranny and/or the rear end to mate to the large U-joints.

I recommend if you get a used drive shaft that you replace all three U-joints and have the assembled shaft dynamically balanced prior to installation. And be sure that you get the two halves of the drive shaft properly lined up when you put the splines together.
