740GLE idles;dies when I give it gas 700 1986

My 1986 Volvo 740 GLE will idle ok, but as soon as I give it gas, it dies out. I have a parked Volvo for which I can switch parts from to test. I have already replaced all the tune-up parts and more. Any one have any ideas on what the problem may be? Thanks in advance.
