Today several times the engine would cut out at normal driving speeds. It just cuts out for a split second intermittently. It seems to be a fuel delivery problem. As I mentioned before, the bare wires coming up from the manifold are all grounds- I don't see how they could be the problem as all other wiring insulation appears fine. Is my logic flawed here? The pressure regulator was replaced in Nov. '00. There is one vaccum hose which is brittle and cracked at the end which attaches to the intake. I traced it back to where it enters the firewall. I'm going to cut the end that's cracked off and put it back on. I'll check the ground wire from the battery to the engine as suggested before. If that doesn't help, I'm going to replace the fuel pump relay.
If that doesn't help, I suspect the fuel pump. The filter was replaced fairly recently (in the last few months).
