first time volvo owner

hello my name is sean and i am a 16 year old kid. i have been savin up for a car and i have talked over with my parents, and they have decide that they want me to get a volvo because it is the safest car. so i was wondering if u could help. i have narrowed it down to the 200 series or the 700 series turbo. i was wondering if u all could help, tell me which one u would excpect to breakdown and which one i would have the most trouble and what i would expect to pay for one between 89-96. so if there is anyone that could help me, i would greatly appreciate it, also tell what kind of volvo u all like.
