I have the B230F engine in my 92 245. The Volvo dealer service guy I talked to today suggested the "throttle plate" may be "sticky," and that such a problem was "typical of those cars."

I'll lube the throttle linkage and see if it helps.

I was looking in my Haynes manual for the "throttle plate" and came across the throttle position sensor. Maybe that's what he meant caused problems?
