The only major oil leak remaining after the dye test was at the O ring behind the oil filter and its 'stand'. I tried to get a 22mm socket on that nut for far too long with no luck.
A mechanic wants to charge me $200 for this privilege.
Not a chance when the fix is only $3.00 worth of ring and washers.
The nut is a normal hex, but the casing around it tapers closely to the nut. Just can't seem to get a bit on it. Leverage space is also next to zip.
Is there a special tapered 22mm socket for this puppy?
Or is there an alternative?
