Probably should ask the Don on this. Am going to do some electrical repair this weekend. Need to hook up some new wire to relays and have the genuine Volvo ends. I dont like the idea of using almuminum crips (butt joints). Is silver solder the best? I know the General Patton used it on some tough stuff, and it wont oxidize and should handle heat better under load.
With silver, is there a hot enough iron or is a flame required to get proper heat?
What about copper butt joints? Are they available.
Be nice if someone could give us a little run-down on technique etc I have use the typical stuff in the past with success, but am concerned about the high heat in this installation.
Suggestions welcomed.
