Jason - my first swede was an 83 245 - loved it but the LH fuel system wasn't volvo's best. Good tips - replace the white plastic fuseholder on dr. fender near battery with solid, waterproof version. This holder, for the fuel injection system, allows the fuse to corrode and screw the car up on a regular basis. I can't promise this is your problem but the sooner you upgrade it the sooner you can't blame it. Under the rear seat on the driver's side you will
find the ground point for the fuel pump - verify that it is clean and secure.
Poke around near the fuel pressure regulator and you may find a green quarter-sized canister in the vacuum lines. If this is removed the EPA gets angry about enrichment at full idle. Mine never got that recall and I never regretted it. As far as the fuses and relays are concerned - try pulling the fuse labelled as the back up lights - mine mysteriously killed the main pump when absent. Good Hunting
