and now for my wife's cars problems, rpms take off at idle 200 85

recently once my wifes 85 240 gets warm the idle zooms up until you have to cut the car off. the haynes book doesnt go into detail much about this fuel injection. she has the 2.2 right? any suggestions where to start?
