cleaning combustion chamber(carbon) 200 85

Good morning,

My '85 245GL (196k)has been pinging and I use 93 octane,no vacuum leaks,knock sensor tests fine.Oil trap is clean as is throttle body.

Can I just buy a fuel additive to rid the deposits from my combustion chamber?The Italian tune up didn't really help.
