I'm beginning to plan my brake system replacement. I'd like to replace calipers, rotors, pads, e-brake shoes, hoses (not the metal lines), and the master cylinder.
There are a few things I'm unsure of. One of them is about the master cylinder. Does it have to be bench-bled before replacement? Since I'm taking everything apart, do I need this step?
Are there any other items I should hit while I'm in there? I've done the front bearings, but how about on the rear axle? Should I do the rear bearings?
Also, my heat/dust shields for the F & R brakes are quite rusty, and I'd like to use POR-15 one them. Is the heat to much for POR-15, or should I use the high-heat stuff? If high-heat's the answer, I won't do it, as you can't paint that stuff over rust and have it last.
Anyway, any info would be appreciated,
