rear shock replacement 700 89

I have read the FAQ on rear shock replacement but can't see how to access the top shock mount for my 760 wagon. Do I pull all of the interior panels to the wheel well or what? I just got some 92' 745 springs to replace my nivomats but can't find the top of the damn shock. Jim
