Ignition module...would it prevent fuel pumps from starting? 200 1979

Hello, low and behold i have more to ask...so here goes

.... Would a Bad ignition module prevent the fuel pump(s) from getting any juice?

Would a sudden "bolt" of electricity, such as when I pop the clutch (ie manaul jump start), in a way, "bypass" whatever is wrong with the ignition module, and provide the necessary voltage to the coil/pumps?

If it turns out that this is indeed possible, the ignition module may be very well be the problem with my car and it's intermittent no-start days.

Any knowledge/input about this would be great.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, btw, the ignition module is located next to the battery, correct?

I have 3 different "connectors" near my battery on the inner fender... what do these 3 "connectors" control? I think one is the voltage regulator.............??

eagerly awaiting answers,

Robert I
