Plug Gaps 700 1989

I just purchased some plugs. They're Bosch super's with OEM (spec?) wires.

I'm obviously going to gap them to .028"-.032" but I'm wondering what happens if you leave them where they currently are (.034")? Will that screw things up? The only thing I can think of is that the plugs might not spark, or might not spark with enough "power" to ignite everything in the chamber. Like, the closer the gap the more intense the spark, is that right?

Oh, and I don't have a manual for a 1989 like mine, the one that came with the car (used) was from a 1984 Turbo Diesel 760 (don't ask). See why I don't RTFM?

Also, with regards to the relays, there's 2 rows of them behind the fuses. I'm assuming the OD relay isn't the one that says "Hella" on it.

Is it on the left or the right? First row or second?

Thanks
