replacing nivomatts and springs 900 1992

Has anyone replaced there springs and nivomatts on a 92 960. I'm in the process and can not get the bolt on the tale or trail arm bracket to break so I can swing the arm out to repace the spring.Any suggestions? Looks like I'm only going to be able to replace the nivomatt. Thanks Joe
