typical intermittant problem with the overdrive. my car wont shift up out of 3rd and the arrow is lit up on the dash. i have not worked on cars much at all but from my research i suspect that the relay needs soldering...or something like that. could there be other culprits causing this problems? i dont have the tools to do this myself yet but am wary of taking my car to get worked on b/c i have gotten ripped off in the past. is there a way to take the cap off the relay to check for cracks? i can get the relay out but can't seem to get the plastic cover off and the folks at the auto parts store couldn't do it either. help!
