New Fuel Filter Killed Engine Performance 200 85

Hello All,

How can this be that after I replace a fuel filter and fuel line (since my shadetree mech broke the fuel line with impact wrench) the car has lost all performance, even under boost!!??

Had fuel line custom made (300psi max) with new fittings. Kept things clean as possible when re-attaching (taped ends to keep dirt out etc).

The car had an idle oscillation/starting problem, so I decided to start simple with a new filter. Starts fine and the idle is constant, but ROUGH. And the exhaust is now loud and sounds like a tug boat! (chug, chug, chug...)

When accelerating, there is hesitation...feels like you can feel every pulse from the fuel pump....feels like there isn't enough fuel pressure...up a 5% grade, torque is all but lost (used to have awesome torque) Car bogs down below 2000rpm and boost does little. Never stalls or misses however. Intank pump audible, (although car runs same with or without gas-cap...odd?). No fuel leaks. Have anything to do with new fuel line?? Please don't tell me it's a clog somewhere. Will I have to test injectors next!! As usual, thanks in advance!
