ok, ok, i know, i've been here a couple of times asking about this, but now i'm about to make a decision on a purchase. found a 1996 960 sedan, black w/every available option and 71,400miles for 9900$$ in doing my research, i've found this to be a great price (one that i can't easily pass.) i've research the FAQ section and have gotten some good info (it seems that all the gremlins associated with the 960 have been worked out in the '96 model.) i'm a bit concerned about the nivomat shocks (assuming this one has them) and would like to know the height of the backend so that i can measure it to see if there is problems there (i would need to know the spot being measured from.) in researching, i wen out to edmunds.com and one item said that volvo gave a 250K$$ payout to the estate of anyone killed in this car. i don't plan on that happening, but would that roll over to me?? the wife nor myself are speed freaks, but i do like a bit of umph evry now then, so what can/could we expect?? any other words of encouragement, wisdom, concern, etc.

i've owned a 244dl for about 1 1/2 years now and am looking forward to adding to the fleet.
