Is there a reliable trans service place in NJ? 700 1990

My 1990 740GL has become slow to shift. Some have said 'leave better off

alone". Some have said a trans service/power flush can do miracles. The car has 224,000 on it, and I still love it. I would like to try the service, but a few have said "do not go to the dealer". So where do I find a reliable trans service place?"
