PM Gone Bad 900 1994

I have a 94 - 940 Turbo in good condition and up until now trouble free.

While preparing for a short trip I decided to do a little checking under the hood at flood levels. I noticed the battery was a little low so I filled it. I sprayed a little WD-40 on the hood hinges and the throttle cable. I then jacked up the passenger side to check a tire. That's all I did, I promise. When I cranked the car, the check engine light came on and has been on ever since. Is this just a wild coinsidence or could it be something that I did? All replys appreciated.......
