AMM or O2 sensor or what???? 200 1991

Here are the symptoms, hope someone can help...

Fault codes 1-2-1, 2-2-1, 2-3-1, check engine light on.

Driving problems: high idle, stalls sometimes around corners while braking, idle fluctuates while coasting down a hill, runs fine on highway or around town, no noticable loss of power.

What I have done so far: cleaned PCV & flame trap, cleaned throttle body, replaced fuel pressure regulator, resistance tests for AMM are ok, cleaned connections to AMM and O2 sensor.

Urgh!!!!

Where can I go from here, I would hate to buy an AMM unless I am absolutly sure that is the problem. Also, if I unplug the AMM while car is running, the engine stutters and almost stalls, which leads me to believe it is working, I hope. Can all this be caused by the O2 sensor, I checked it and it seemed to be fluctuating as it should, maybe a little lazy though.

One more note, this all came on suddenly. Car was fine on the drive home one night, next morning my baby with 222,200 miles is all sick.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I sifted through the 700/900 FAQ and found no real directins to go other than blindly replacing mucho expensive parts.

Much gratitude,

Ralph
