Air compressor - what size?

Now that I've done some r&r work, I got to understand the need for an air powered wrench. I am considering in getting one, if the price is okay. Since these tools runs on compressed air, I must also acquire an air compressor. I'm not familiar with those horse-power and "x litres tank" that comes with the specs sheet of the compressor. For simple DIY what specs should I be looking at, both for the compressor and the air wrench.

Can anyone provide these info before I make the investments?

I do have a 2hp air compressor in mind. Should the air wrench be compatible with the compressor, or can I just go out and buy what is affordable?
