The air tools you are looking at should list their requirements on the box or on a lable on the tool .
It should tell you what the required pressure is , and how many cubic feet per minuit (CFM) is required at that pressure to properly operate the tool.
Impact wrenches, air drills, air chisls, and some paint guns require a great deal of air volume (CFM) to operate properly.
sometimes a compressor rated slightly lower in CFM can provide good short bursts if it has a large tank , but it is not recomended.
