Hi,

Reciently my 745's stock stereo has developed an intermittent problem: Sometimes when I start the car when it's cold and turn on the radio the back speakers "crackle" really bad. It's worse as the antenna goes up, but persists after the antenna is extended. It seems that the problem goes away if the radio is left off for 20-30 min and then turned back on once the car has been warm for a while. The crackling is bad enough that you can't listen to the stereo without going nuts. I am having a new Clarion CD deck installed on Friday morning and would like to eliminate the problem. Also, the stereo will sometimes "crackle" when it is on and I flick the blinker switch, flick on the high beams, wipers, etc. What is the likely problem(s)? Thanks in advance for any help!
