Hi All,

First post, new to this board. Recently my 240 wagon has developed a loud whine, sounding much like an airplane landing, when I reach speeds of about 35mph and up. Took it in to get checked and was told the drive shaft appeared to be o.k. but I'm not sure just how closely it was checked out. There's also a bad clunk when shifting from 1st to second (automatic) which I attribute to worn trailing arm bushings. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
