fluid change and white smoke 200

Just changed a bad lower rad. hose and associated radiator fliud on by '91 245. I ran the car for about 5 min. to remove bubbles and to top off fluid. Now I have white smoke coming from the tail pipe. I'm I screwed (need head gasket) or is this normal? The engine compression was check about a year ago and was very good. Thanks!!
