what car is better made the 960 1997 sedan or the S70 1998 sedan .

I am in the process of buying a car for my daughter . I have found a 960 1997 sedan and a S70 1998 sedan I would appreciate an opinion as to which model is the better of the two. Also have there been any recalls on either one. This is the car my daughter will back and forth to college. Thanks
