I have a 1989 240 DL wagon with only 60,000 on it and in great shape. However, I have a leak behind the tranny that looks to be above the horizontal tranny mount. Intially I thought it was from the engine because the solution is brown in color. Upon further investigating, I think the red fluid is changing color as it proliferates downward. My question is---are there any common areas in the rear area of the tranny or overdrive unit that are known to yeild fluid for various reasons???? thanks for your time--- The leak droppings are a dollar size.
