Gas in Oil. May be Fuel Pump? other Ideas? '86 760 Turbo 700 1986

In my '86 760 Turbo, 155,000 Miles
I recently noticed the smell of gas in the oil. There is enough to reduce the oil viscosity. I am assuming at this point it is the fuel pump. Are there other telltale signs that would indicate this is the problem?
also, as a stopgap measure, can I use oil treatments?
