Weak Radius Arms 700 1987

Hi All,
A while ago I had to take my vehicle into the dealer and one of the things they said was wrong with it was that radius arms were weak. Has anyone ever heard of this or were they blowing smoke. They didn't say bushings just the arms.
The car is an 87 740GLE wagon
