Broken Spark Plug while still at the head 900 1995

Hi Bricksters!

Big Problem. On inspection of the spark plugs I notice they were rusted on the end where the cables connect. So I thought I take them out to inspect the end that is fitted into the head. Guess what, I broke the first plug that I pulled out while the other end is still at the head, not even loosen.

Question.

1. Why are the plugs rusting on the cable end?
2. How do I get the broken plug out?

Please help me as I'm worried to the point of panic.

Thank you all very much for all the advice that you'll be giving me.

PS I don't have many tools so the simpler the method the better.
