what kind of spark plugs? 200

What spark plugs do I need to get for my 1982 Volvo 245? Some specific questions:

1. Brand
2. Gap (how do I gap them?)

Anything else I need to change so that my car will pass a smog check? It failed with a high HC level :(

Also, I NEED TO KNOW WHERE THE IDLE ADJUSTER KNOB IS ON THE ENGINE! I CANNOT FIND IT! I was told to look in the manifold and then the throttle area. I do not see it--don't even know how it looks! I have a high idle on PARK; car idles fine otherwise. I need to pass the test-only smog test! Thanks in advance.
