Hi All:
I've been trying to tackle a problem with my PCV system. This morning I cleaned out the usual suspects (PCV nipple and applicable hoses). I also replaced the entire flame trap assembly. Then I had my mechanic replace my front seals and timing belt in order to end my leaking oil woes. However, when I return home I noticed that air was hissing from the thin hose (at the PCV nipple) that connects to the flame trap. Is this excess crankcase pressure? I just spent a lot of money replacing the seals in my effort to make my car a mean machine again. Please offer any thoughts. I appreciate it.
