$96 exhaust system...worthwhile? 200

So the PO put a POS midas exhaust system on the car. Yesterday the axle pipe rusted all the way through and detached from the rear muffler. Now I've got that turbo sound I've always wanted... Anyhow, I don't know how easy it would be to bolt up a new Starla axle pipe ($14) to the midas system. I was wondering if I should spring for the whole system (to keep it all easy) or not. Are they decent? Also, can I install it myself, or is it going to be too much of a bitch? I think the hard part will be at the cat where everything is frozen together by rust.
