VolvoWorld.com VIN and production pages 200

While surfing the Brickboard this evening I noticed a lot of posts related to the VIN and production information pages found on our company's site (www.volvoworld.com). As the owner and creator of those pages I am very happy that they are visited and used as a reference by Volvo enthusiasts, and must thank those sending new owners to our site for information and parts. When opening up for business in 1997 I wanted to give free and useful information to Volvo owner's about their vehicle. Frequent questions from vintage Volvo enthusiasts were "how many were produced", "how can I determine if it is the original engine or paint color", "was it available with automatic transmission", ...For the record, the main source of information used when creating those pages is the Volvo Quick Reference Parts catalog published by Volvo corp in 1997. I noticed some Brickboard members questionning the validity of the info. Let me just say that great care was taken to ensure the accuracy of the data, however I agree that there must be errors hidden somewhere in the large amount of information. Please come forward when you spot an error. Just yesterday I got an e-mail from a 164 owner who found that the firing order specified for the B30 engine is erroneous! I'd like to invit anyone with similar comments email them at support@volvoworld.com and help us improve the database.
Thanks again for your support, long live the Brickboard !
