Through a comedy of errors while dropping out the BW35 in my 164, I ended up taking the intake and exhaust manifolds off the engine. This is a car that I have not run very much, so have no real history with it. At any rate, the number 5 and 6 intake ports are covered with a black goo that smells suspiciously like old gas.
OK here is my question(s)... Should I be looking at the injectors as the culprets or the lower contact points in the distributor? Also, what is the product that you can hook onto the fuel rail that cleans the injectors? Or, since I have several extra injectors, what is the best way to test them, and clean them, while off the car? I have already check the ohm readings and have 12 extra injectors, again from cars with no running history.
Anybody ever try to take the dual exhaust all the way to the back end?
Thanks,
Kent
