Brake problems!! Brake Pedal Is Super Stiff In the Morns. 200 1980

I have a 1980 244 GL my problem is when i start my car or even after 20 mintues of running my brake pedal is still super still and doesn't move much. Thus making me have no brakes yes scarey stuff. Any way this problem has made me late for school to much already and i want to know what is going down with these brakes. So maybe i was thinking that this problem may have to do with just cold weather like -15 to -20 could this be the culprit? Any way ideas on what is going on would be greatly appreciated.
