Low Windshield Washer Fluid Warning Light 700 1990

When I make a medium to hard stop in my 1990 760, the Low Windshield Washer Fluid Warning Light comes on. The fluid is full. This started about a month ago. I never even knew it existed much less that it worked. How can I make it only come on when the windshield washer fluid is low?
