Front Muffler on 760Ti 700

I am looking to rebuild my exhuast from the turbo back and can't decide if I should include a front muffler in this new system. I am going to put on a free flow cat and flowmasters 2 or 3 chamber mufflers out back. Is it necessary to have a front muffler for more back pressure? What is the front muffler for anyway?
