I know it is running rich, or at least I hope it is running rich becuause it eats gas even when I don't punch it. I have a CIS problem. I grounded the test connector and there is no change. It idles at about 1500 rpm regardless. I clamped the hose to get the idle to spec, about 900 rpm. Connected a dwell meter with the O2 sensor connected and get a fluctuating reading of 45 to 55 degrees. Since its fluctuating I assume the lambda sond is functioning. If I disconnect the O2 sensor I get a fixed 60 degree reading, which is way out of spec. A voltmeter on the O2 sensor reads a pretty steady .4 volts disconnected from the lambda sond. If I give it throttle the voltage fluctuates.
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated. If my understanding is right a high dwell reading means it is running lean, which is the opposite of what I was expecting.
I have not tested the CPR because I don't have a gauge. I have not checked the temp sender. Wiring harness is rebuilt, but I am going to check the firewall connections.
