Anyone done this and are any special tools/tips needed?

I haven't found this in the Chilton manual (@#%# limitations) but I do have a Hayes at home. The FAQ doesn't address this either.

Have ordered the parts from FCPGroton (excellent prices!) including boot kits and outer tie rod ends, still cheaper than a rebuilt rack...I've also ordered the Volvo service manual for steering but are there any gotcha's on this?
