Pulsating fuel line 900 1995

940 No-Turbo 1995

The fuel line around the injectors area is pulsating, something like a heart beat but very fast. I could hear it in the driver's seat.

What is the cause, faulty FPR?

I can't check pressure because I don't have a pressure gauge. How else to go about this?

Also I could smell gasoline when I open the lid where you pour gasoline into the tank with fuel inlet cap closed tight. When I open the lid (filler cap still locked) I could smell strong gasoline. Is there leakage around the cap? If so do I need to replace the cap or just the rubber seal around the cap.

Fuel consumption is rather high at the moment.
